Edward Kress Reavie, age 83, of St. Ignace, Michigan, died on April 23, 2024, at the Merlin Home. He was born on May 4, 1940, in Cheboygan, Michigan, to Kress and Elaine (Nichols) Reavie.

Edward grew up in St. Ignace and graduated from Lasalle High School with the class of 1958. After graduation, he started working at Silver Sands Resort, and at A&P Grocery Store as a bag boy and worked up to manager. In 1967, he started working as a bank teller at First National Bank and retired in 2010 as a First Vice President, after 43 years. In 1976, he was one of the founders of the of Straits Area Antique Auto Show, later establishing Nostalgia Productions, with his former wife, Mary Ellen. He sold the company in 2015.

Edward loved his car memorabilia collection, and took great pride in his ’55 Chevy, and loved to race his 1965 GTO at Raco.

Edward is survived by his children, Danielle (Steve) Sawyers of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, and Sean (Melissa) Reavie of Arizona; brothers-in-law, Tom Schwalbach, and Lester McLachlan; lifetime friends, Bucky McPhee, Paul Ryerse, and Tom Flynn; and close family members, Jeff Schwalbach, Scott Schwalbach, Melissa Budd, Samantha Cotter, Bryan McLachlan, Monica Pierpan, Charlene Studer, and Jim Ryerse.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Kress and Elaine; former wife, Mary Ellen Reavie; sister, Kay Schwalbach; and sister-in-law, Patsy McLachlan.

There will be no service at this time.
