May 7, 2024

Dear Rudyard Area Schools Staff, Families, and Community,

On behalf of the Rudyard Area Schools Board of Education, I am writing to inform you that the bond vote on
Tuesday, May 7th was successful.

The unofficial totals were 310 yes votes and 300 no votes.

This narrow margin proves to me that we still have work to do within our communities to repair our relationship; something that I promise we will continue to do.

This is a significant milestone for our school district and shows that we are headed in the right direction. Our school district, the one that helped raise me, needs a collective vision and a commitment to our current and future students. There is no greater gift than the power of an education. Your support and advocacy for this bond measure have not gone unnoticed, and I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you.

With the passing of the bond, we now have the opportunity to make critical investments in our school facilities, educational programs, and our students. These improvements will enhance the learning environment for our students and ensure that our schools remain safe, modern, and equipped for success.

As we move forward with the implementation of the bond projects, we remain committed to transparency, accountability, and collaboration with the community every step of the way. Your input and feedback will continue to be invaluable as we work to prioritize and address the needs of our school district.

On behalf of the entire school district, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to each and every member of our community for your unwavering support and dedication to our students.

Together, we are making a difference in the lives of our students, ensuring that every student receives the education and opportunities they deserve.

Thank you once again for your support. Every student. Every day. Whatever it takes.

Respectfully,

Thomas O. McKee
Superintendent
