A week after parts of the Sault Ste. Marie area got dumped on by the Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend snow storm, the Parker ACE Hardware Festival of Lights Parade and Christmas Tree Lighting took place Friday night.
The event was originally scheduled to take place on Friday, Nov. 29, but dangerous road conditions with the heavy snow prompted it to be pushed back.
With the combination between the couple feet of snow already on ground and light snow falling Friday evening, it felt like Christmas.
Santa Claus, unfortunately was unable to attend the event due to obligations at the North Pole.
However, Mrs. Claus filled in with officially counting down to the lighting of the Christmas Tree on the City Hall grounds following the parade.
