Lawrence J. Hough sworn in as Chippewa County undersheriff

There's a new Undersheriff in town:

Lawrence J. Hough was sworn in today as the Chippewa County Sheriff's Office newest Undersheriff.

Larry has been a certified Deputy Sheriff since April 1995. Larry worked part time until his retirement with the MDOC where he retired as an Inspector. Larry then hired on as a full time Deputy Sheriff in December of 2018.

Larry was then promoted to lead our Recreational Enforcement Deputy Sheriff program. Larry was in charge of our Marine, ORV and snowmobile division. Larry also lead our Search and Rescue as well as our Drone Division.

Larry has extensive experience in Corrections and in Law Enforcement and will no doubt help our Office move forward.
