Reina Recycling and Resource Recovery holding Open House Nov. 2

The owners now have plans to open up a Retro-Electro electronics store.  It will be a resale shop for those nostalgic folks who love electronics from the past few decades.

In early March, 2023, Rudyard residents Chuck and Sherry Kruch, officially opened up Reina Recycling and Resource Recovery in Sault Ste. Marie.

It's a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization set up for educational purposes and to benefit the public on recycling.  Reina accepts various types of electronics including wiring, circuits and more.

The program has been quite successful.

Now, almost two years later, in addition to Reina, they are pursuing a new adventure by opening up a Retro-Electro electronics store.

It will be a resale shop for those nostalgic folks who love vintage electronics from decades ago. They would accept donated electronic items, such as older computers, laptops, phones and tablets, TVs, VCRs or even items with vacuum tubes.... whether they work or not.

All monies made from Retro-Electro will go right back into the recycling program.

In addition to the resale shop, part of the new building will be used for educational purposes.

On Sat. Nov. 2 from noon-5 p.m, Reina Recycling and Resource Recovery is having a Fall Fundraiser-Open House.

The public is invited to see what the program is all about and learn about their plans for the Retro-Electro store.

Willy's Dunn Right food truck will be there all day for food.

As part of the event, one television or up to 10 pounds of batteries can be dropped off for free.

There will also be door prizes and activities along with a warehouse sale.

Reina Recycling and Resource Recovery is located at 401 Fort St., one block north of Spruce Street near Lock City Lumber.
