It is time for Chippewa County residents to stuff a Blue Goose to ensure no kid goes without Christmas presents in 2022.
Sault Ste. Marie Michigan State Police Post Trooper Cody Mayer posted the following to Facebook yesterday morning:
"Soo Motors, Rodenroth Motors, and O'Connor’s Chrysler Dodge Jeep and Ram have once again taken the challenge to see which dealership can stuff a blue goose. Joining in on the fun this year is Fernelius Hyundai. Stop into one of these dealerships donate and check out a vehicle while you’re there too! Event ends December 14th."
The dealerships have turned Stuff a Blue Goose into a friendly competition to see who can fill a car with the most presents. People are encouraged to purchase gifts and/or gift cards for children ages 0 through 18.
"The first year we did this, what I got out of one car I would've been ecstatic with for all three," said Mayer. "It continues to grow every year."
Troopers will collect the gifts after Dec. 14 and take them to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services of Chippewa County to be dispersed throughout the community.
