Lorraine Mary (Lowetz) Frazier, age 83, of Naubinway, Michigan passed away July 5, 2022, surrounded by her family. Lorraine was born in Moran, Michigan on June 14, 1939 to Joseph and Louise (Lupenitz) Lowetz.

Lorraine grew up in Moran, Michigan with her nine siblings and graduated in 1957 from LaSalle High School in St. Ignace, Michigan. She married her childhood friend Arnold Frederick Frazier on January 21, 1958. The family moved to Marshall, Michigan for a few years due to Arnold’s work before returning to St. Ignace, Michigan for a short spell. Their next move was to Iron River, Michigan where the family remained until their children graduated from high school. Lorraine and Arnold then moved to their dream home on Lake Michigan. They remained in Naubinway after retirement where they spent many happy years together with children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Lorraine was an avid beach-goer, enjoying Lake Michigan in the summer, and picking seashells oceanside at Gulf Shores in the winter. Lorraine and Arnie more than loved traveling, they visited every state in the union including Hawaii and Alaska. They cruised to Panama and Alaska, and enjoyed trips to Australia, Germany and Italy. At home Lorraine snowmobiled, skied cross country, gardened and was a wicked berry picker. She had a flair for desserts and for 40 years few family parties were complete without her pies, cakes and other goodies. Most of all, Lorraine loved being a mother, grandmother and wife. She was welcoming to all and showered her family with love every moment she could. She will be greatly missed.

Lorraine is survived by her husband of sixty-four years, Arnold; their daughters, Julie Frazier of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, and Karen Frazier (James Teasdale) of Lansing, Michigan; their sons, Patrick (Margaret) Frazier of Trout Lake, Michigan, and Edward (Kelly) Frazier of Kingsford, Michigan. Lorraine and Arnie’s beloved grandchildren include Charyl Ward (Joe Mehring), Alison (Aaron) Rewa, Kristy (Kelly) Morrison, Amanda Frazier, Kaitlyn Frazier, Matthew Frazier, and Sara (Josh) Gallagher. Precious great grandchildren include Gideon Rewa, Evangeline Rewa, Zelda Morrison, and Liam Gallagher.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Louise Lowetz and her sister Kathy (Ronald) Brown. She is survived by her brothers Lloyd Lowetz, Alfred (Hollene) Lowetz, Ray (Polly) Lowetz, William Lowetz, and Michael Lowetz; and sisters Rosemary Irwin, Delores (Joeseph) Frazier, and Mary (Tom) Haas.

Lorraine and Arnold were members of St. Stephens Catholic Church in Naubinway. A Memorial Service will take place at St. Stephens on Saturday July 16, 2022. Visitation will take place at 11 am, services at 12 pm, followed by a luncheon.
