Louise Wolski, 92, of St. Ignace, Michigan, peacefully passed away on December 16, 2022, at Evergreen Living Center where she had been a resident for 1 ½ years.

Louise was born on July 3, 1930, to Joseph and Jessie Bonczkiewicz in Detroit Michigan.  She married the love of her life, Tom in 1951 and together raised 6 children in Allen Park, Michigan.

Tom was employed with Michigan Bell and requested a transfer “anywhere north of the Mackinac Bridge”, so in January of 1973 the whole Wolski family moved to St. Ignace.  Tom and Louise quickly adapted to small-town life and enjoyed all it had to offer including many life-long friendships.

Louise loved fishing and you could usually find them out in the boat on Brevort Lake from spring thru fall with Louise usually out-fishing everyone.  She loved to read and in retirement took advantage of her “wonderful” St. Ignace Public Library. She was also a great cook, spending time reading cookbooks and trying new recipes in her small kitchen.  No kitchen that she ever had was big enough for her, but she was content to use what she had and always had a great meal waiting when everyone came home for dinner.

Louise is survived by her sister, Irene of Livonia; her children and their families, Gerry and Jeri-Lou Wolski of Sault. Ste. Marie, Eileen Evers of St. Ignace, Marty and Terri Wolski of Sault Ste. Marie, Mary and Mike McGovern of Mt. Vernon Ohio, and Matt Wolski of Republic, many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Tom; her son, Greg; her son-in-law, Jim; her grandson, Tom; and her brother, Ray.

No services will be held.

Her Cremated Remains will be interred at Gros Cap Cemetery, next to her late husband.
