As tempting as it may be to cozy up and cocoon indoors until spring, humans were not created to hibernate. Especially when there is a world of exhilarating winter fun waiting for you at Bay Mills Resort & Casino.

Located a short drive from the Soo border on the shores of Lake Superior, Bay Mills Resort & Casino is the ideal destination for those in search of year-round fun and adventure. The Resort features 143 clean and comfortable guest rooms and two restaurants serving delicious foods for every taste with stunning waterfront views. And, just steps away, Wild Bluff Golf Course has been transformed from a championship golf course to a winter wonderland of groomed trails for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and world-class snowmobiling.

Brimley is a popular spot for snowmobilers looking for a fun and challenging ride, and guests of Bay Mills Resort & Casino have direct access to a network of hundreds of miles of trails that are regularly groomed and maintained by the Sault Ste. Marie Snowmobile Association. “We are literally the hub for trails in each direction,” says Bay Mills’ Marketing Communications Manager Shelly Deuman-LeBlanc. “The trails are open to the public and groomed three or four times a week. People can bring their own sleds and we have plenty of parking with surveillance 24-7.”

Guests who prefer a little less octane in their winter fun can bring their snowshoes or cross-country skis and enjoy the trails at Wild Bluff Golf Course. “At Wild Bluff, we have a groomed Cross Country ski trail that is open to the public. A one-mile trail below, and a three mile course up the hill.” The trails are free of charge and offer guests the opportunity to experience the breathtaking beauty of a Lake Superior winter’s day firsthand.

“Ride All Day. Play All Night”

After a day of playing in the snow and a satisfying dinner at The Back Bay, guests will find even more thrills at Bay Mills Resort & Casino. With more than 600 of the latest slot games, plus popular table games including two- and six-deck Blackjack, Three-Card Poker, Let it Ride, Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em, and Craps, there truly is fun for everyone. And, with Bay Mills’ Play and Stay promotion, guests can earn points towards accommodations. “People can play all day and depending on the number of points earned on their Funcard, they can put it toward a discounted room or even earn a free room.”

While the focus is on fun this winter at Bay Mills, guests can rest assured that their health and wellbeing remains the number one priority. The casino and hotel follow strict sanitation guidelines including a mandatory mask policy for all guests and staff, free masks for guests, sanitation stations throughout the casino, and regular room cleaning & sanitizing.

Deuman-LeBlanc stresses that Bay Mills “has always prided ourselves on being the friendliest, cleanest and safest destination in our service area. We treat guests as if they were family, and make sure that each visit is an enjoyable one. We are trying to stay healthy, and we’ll do whatever it takes to keep everyone else healthy.”
