A fun-filled Saturday afternoon of ships and interactive learning devices at Soo Locks Visitors Center marked 25 years of marriage for Flint couple Jeff and Gena Mark.
"We just watched the Great Republic pass through," he said about the 650 foot long, nearly 70 foot wide vessel.
"We love the stories and history behind the boats," she added, browsing the visitors center. "We love watching the freighters."
The couple travels to the Upper Peninsula every chance they get.
"We just love our up north winters," he said.
The Mark's were married in Grand Blanc on March 27, 1998. Soo Leader wishes them a happy 25th anniversary.
