Hiawatha National Forest is looking for a recreations sites manager that includes campgrounds and day-use areas to be operated under a concession program, according to a news release.

The concession sites are located on the Sault Ste. Marie and St. Ignace Ranger Districts, Ranger Districts of the Hiawatha National Forest. The prospectus offers six campgrounds, three day-use areas, and one recreation site, the release added. Since the current permit is scheduled to expire at the end of this year, the Forest Service anticipates choosing a successful applicant in the fall of 2023, with the intention of operations beginning in time to provide services for the 2024 season.

All written applications, including payment for the processing fees must be received by the Forest Service no later than 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 14.

The prospectus can be found here.
