Local restaurant Cozy Corners will be hosting a visit from America’s Best Restaurants later this month.
Popular dishes will be highlighted, along with an on-camera interview with owners Sara and Ron Gordon. The Gordons had been patrons of Cozy Corners for a decade, they had no restaurant experience before buying it about two years ago.
They remodeled the interior to reflect the exterior environment - a nautical, taxidermy, freighter theme - and also cleaned up the shoreline of St. Mary’s River which the restaurant faces in Barbeau, Mich. They added a new dock and doubled the outdoor seating.
“Our food is stellar,” said Sara in a news release. Cozy Corners also has what Sara refers to as “killer staff” - they won the first-ever Yelp Services Award in 2022 for Best Front-Of-The-House Team.
America’s Best Restaurants will be filming on location on June 20 from 2-5 p.m. with the air date for the program to be announced later.
