Chilly winds Friday evening did not stop hundreds of people from attending the Festival of Lights Parade downtown and the Christmas tree lighting at City Hall.
After the parade, Santa and Mrs. Claus counted down from 10 to light the Christmas tree.
While people were taking pictures of Santa, Mrs. Claus told us that this is what gets the Christmas spirit going.
"I have been participating in this parade and event for about a decade now. It is so nice to see all the people out here, young and old, to help us all get into the Christmas spirit. A lot of the children are running up to Santa with all smiles while their picture is taken. It's such a nice feeling," Mrs. Claus said.
