Glendon Chase Butler, age 86, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, died at his home on April 30, 2024. He was born on August 17, 1937, in Sault Ste. Marie, to William Henry and Jane (Teets) Butler.

Glendon was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie and graduated from Sault High School. After graduating, he joined the United States Air Force and served in many countries, mainly England. After being honorably discharged, he met the love of his life, Judith Peffers, they married on September 26, 1960, and they started their family. They moved to Charolotte, North Carolina, and after many years they returned home to Sault Ste. Marie in 1996. He loved being a dad, grandpa, and great grandpa.

Glendon loved attending all the Sault Area sports events and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Glendon is survived by his wife, Judith; daughter, Betty (Kirk) Crabb of Cottage Grove, Minnesota; sons, William (Lisa) Butler of Sault Ste. Marie, Robert (Seham) Butler of Kincheloe, Michigan, and Barry (Michelle) Butler of Sault Ste. Marie; grandchildren, Tanya (JD) Hoolsema, Jessica Richardson, Tracy(Nick) Donaldson, Miles Butler, Glenna (Daniel) Reasland, Kirk (Renae) Crabb, Joey (Teresa) Ogston, MacKenzie Burden, Spencer Butler, and Steven (Amy) Loonsfoo; and twenty beloved great-grandchildren.

Glendon was preceded in death by his parents, William and Jane.

Per Glendon’s wishes, there will be no services.
