(September 14, 1944 - January 8, 2024)

It is with a profound sense of love and gratitude that we remember Sandra Kay Wallins, who gracefully journeyed through this life from September 14, 1944, until January 8, 2024. At the venerable age of 79, Sandra left an indelible mark on the hearts and lives of those she touched.

Sandra's legacy is cherished by her beloved wife, Beverly Bouschor, and her dear children - William Bouschor of Sault Ste. Marie, Wendy Bouschor, and James Bouschor of Brimley, Michigan. Her memory lives on through her adored grandchildren Ryley Farnquist, Damien Bouschor, Ricky Bouschor, and Raul Bouschor, all of Brimley, Michigan, and her loving brother, Bruce Wallin of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Sandra was a beacon of guidance and love, preceded in life by her parents Carl and Myrt Wallin, who instilled in her the values she carried throughout her life.

Professionally, Sandra dedicated her career as an audiologist and speech pathologist to the service of Native American communities in the Great Lakes region. Her work in Indian Country was not just a job but a heartfelt mission, enhancing the lives of countless individuals through her expertise and compassion in hearing and speech therapy.

Sandra's personal life was rich with diverse interests and unwavering kindness. In her younger years, she was an avid enthusiast of the outdoors, often found hunting and fishing in the serene woods of Wisconsin. As time passed, her curiosity led her to become a tinkerer, embracing a plethora of challenges for the sheer joy of learning and problem-solving. Above all, Sandra was known for her profound kindness and an innate desire to uplift those around her, always extending a helping hand to those in need.

Her life's journey in the Great Lakes region led her to the love of her life, Beverly Bouschor. Together, they shared nearly three decades of love and companionship, culminating in a beautiful marriage on October 8th, 2016, in a ceremony by the shores of Waiska Bay.

We invite you to join us in celebrating Sandra's life at the Nigaanagiizhik Ceremonial Building. All family members are welcome at 3pm, a public viewing will begin at 5 pm, followed by a feast around 7 pm.
