Kelton Paul Salowitz was arrested by Mackinac County Sheriff Department Officers on Feb. 27.
He faces child abusive material, commercial activity, using a computer to commit crimes x2, sodomy (bestiality), child sexually abusive act - distribution, and child sexually abusive material.
UPMatters.com reports the sheriff's department informed them that an 18-year-old Portage Township man (Salkowitz) was engaged in an inappropriate online relationship with a 12-year-old female in a suburb of Austin, TX.
"Sheriff Wilk said several search warrants were executed, revealing hundreds of photos and videos of what he labeled “child sexually abusive material.” it was also revealed that several other child victims were uncovered, all who were known to the first reported victim," reported the news site.
Salowitz is considered innocent unless proven guilty of the crimes he is accused of.
His next hearing is scheduled for March 9 and he is being held in Mackinac County on a $250,000 bond.
