GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY - On the evening of Dec. 19, 2023, a trooper from the Michigan State Police Traverse City Post was called to a report of an alleged sexual assault that occurred at Walmart located in Garfield Township. The victim said she was in the produce section when three men walked near her as she had her back turned to them. One of the men assaulted her.
The victim notified Walmart management who were able to obtain security footage of the men who appear to be Hispanic. The brief assault was also captured on security footage.
The men were driving an early 2000’s model, Chevrolet Silverado pickup, white in color, with a crew cab.
