Cadillac Man accused of assaulting multiple people, resisting arrest

On Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at approximately 10:10 p.m. troopers from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Cadillac Post were called to a report of an alleged domestic assault at a residence on 13th Street in Selma Township. Troopers arrived and observed a man walking in the back door of the residence who matched the description of the suspect, 37-year-old Jack Alan Duncan Jr. 

Duncan was immediately placed under arrest. 

Members of the household told troopers Duncan arrived at the residence at approximately 9:30 p.m. that evening and he was highly intoxicated. He became angry when he was not allowed to be with a woman at the residence. He assaulted two members of the household and assaulted another woman prior to his arrival. The victims were treated by Cherry Grove EMS at the scene, and one was transported to Cadillac Hospital for further evaluation.

Troopers interviewed Duncan while he was seated in the front seat of their patrol vehicle. Duncan was uncooperative and began kicking the side window of the patrol vehicle. The window was rolled down to prevent him from damaging it. He then he kicked the side mirror breaking the glass. Duncan was transferred to the back seat of a Cadillac Police Department patrol vehicle that had a partition between the officers and arrestee. Duncan was lodged in the Wexford County Jail, where he also assaulted a corrections officer.

Duncan Jr. was arraigned in the 84th District Court in Wexford County for two counts Assault and Battery, one count Domestic Violence, one count Malicious Destruction of Police Property, one count Resisting and Obstructing Police, and Habitual Offender Fourth Notice. His bond was set at $50,000 cash surety. 
His next scheduled court appearance is on March 26, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.
