Chippewa County Central Dispatch is reporting intermittent nationwide outages of wireless service for people using ATT. This is interfering with people's ability to make 911 calls.

Central dispatch recommends people try to find a landline or other means of calling 911 as calls may either be delayed or not go through.

"If you are unable to do this, try setting your phone to WiFi assist calling. The call may take longer to go through in this mode," says its Facebook post.

At time of publication, no outages were reported by ATT.
