Man charged with possession of child sexual abuse material

CARP LAKE, MICH. - The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is announcing the arrest of Donavan Patrick Dougherty, 33, of Carp Lake, for aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material and using a computer to commit a crime. 

Dougherty was arrested following an investigation which began when a tip was received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). 

Dougherty was charged with one count of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, one count of possession of sexually abusive material and two counts of using a computer to commit a crime. Dougherty was arraigned in the 90th Judicial District Court on Friday, June 2. 

The MSP ICAC Task Force was assisted by the MSP Gaylord Post.
