The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is announcing the arrest of Trevor John Flynn, 41, for accosting a child for immoral purposes and using a computer to commit a crime.
Flynn was arrested following an investigation which was initiated when it was learned that Flynn was chatting with minors on the internet. The case was referred to the MSP Computer Crimes Unit from The East Haven Police Department in Connecticut. A search of his residence resulted in digital evidence being seized.
Flynn was charged with one count of children-accosting for immoral purposes and one count of using a computer to commit a crime. Flynn was arraigned in the 96th District Court on Monday, March 11.
If convicted, Flynn faces up to four years in prison for children-accosting for immoral purposes and seven years in prison for using a computer to commit a crime.
