The following release was put out by the Chippewa County Sheriff's office:
TRIDENT MAKES METHAMPHETAMINE ARRESTS:
In the evening hours of June 7th, 2022 a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle in Sault Ste Marie Mi.
The investigation resulted in a search warrant on the vehicle and a local Sault residence.
A large amount of Methamphetamine was seized.
ARRESTED:
1- Ford Alan Smart, 24 yr old Sault resident
- Possession with intent to Deliver Methamphetamine
2- Katie Jo Howe, 31 yr old Sault resident
- Possession of Methamphetamine
- Child endangerment 4th degree
Both suspects were arraigned in the 91st Dist Court on 6-8-2022. Both suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
Trident was assisted by the Sault Ste Marie PD and the Chippewa Co Sheriff's Office.
