Carol Bettina (Crean) Bennett, age 78, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Carol passed away at the Hospice House of the EUP in Sault Ste. Marie on January 11, 2024. She was born on April 18, 1945, in Munising, Michigan, to Julian Joseph and Lorraine Grace (Johnson) Crean.

Carol lived in Munising during her childhood, where she also attended school. She worked at Holly Sand and Gravel in Holly, Michigan, for five years. In 1985, she settled in Sault Ste. Marie, working as a housewife, caring for others, and working odd jobs. In later years, she watched dogs and traveled to New York City, Finland, New England States, Philadelphia, Indiana, and many other places.

Carol was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan.

Carol loved the outdoors and enjoyed traveling, photography, mini-golfing, fishing, camping, and loved helping others.

Carol is survived by her children, Lawrence E. Beseau of Sault Ste. Marie, and Scott D. (Beth) Bennett of New York; daughters, Bonnie S. (David) Collyer of New York, Susan (Katie) Bennett of California, and Jackie (Richard) Stevenson of England; grandchildren, James (Tiffany) Collyer, Nickolas (Amanda) Collyer, Steven (Kaitlyn) Collyer, and Dave (Jamie) Collyer; great-grandchildren, Nickolas Collyer Jr., Aubrey Collyer, Alyssa Collyer, Carson Collyer, and Christopher Collyer; sisters, Kay Beseau/Partner Chris, and Linda Poldoski-Bartels; brother, John (Lizzie) Crean; and sister-in-law, Tammy Crean.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Julian and Lorraine; son, Richard C. Bennett; grandchild, Christopher Michael Collyer; and brother, James Crean.

Memorial Contributions can be made out to the Hospice House of the EUP, 308 W. 12th Ave, Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan 49783, or the Free Methodist Church, 505 W. 4th Avenue, Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan 49783.

There will be a Celebration of Life in the Summer of 2024.

Final Resting Place will be at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan.
