Denise Eilene (Jordan) Cole, age 61, of Sugar Island, Michigan, died on February 17, 2024, at her home. She was born on August 13, 1962, in Alma, Michigan, to Jesse and Marjorie (Miller) Jordan.
Denise grew up in Grant, Michigan, and graduated from Grant High School with the Class of 1980. After graduation she worked for Ashland Auto Parts, and then went to work at Cole’s Auto Repair & Salvage in 1989 where she first met Clay Cole. They married on September 17, 2011, at the Northland Church of Christ in Grant.
Denise was a member of the Northland Church of Christ.
Denise loved to be outdoors, camping, looking for waterfalls and ship watching. She enjoyed gardening (flowers and vegetables), going to yard sales, and cooking. She absolutely adored her two dogs, Blizzard and Bella.
Denise is survived by her husband, Clay; stepdaughters, Spring Cole and Autumn Welch; stepson, Dustin Cole; grandchildren, Starlea Cole, Nellie Cole, and Dustin Cole Jr.; sister, Judy Tanner; brother, Denny Jordan; sister, Debbie Jo Jordan-Wilson; and nephew, Jordan Wilson.
Denise was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Marjorie.
A Memorial Service will held be at the Sugar Island Community Center, 6401 Sugar Island Road, Sault Ste. Marie, MI, 49783 on March 9th from 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon. The Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 noon and Lion’s Club luncheon will immediately follow the service at 12:45 PM.
