Mary “Mimi” Anne (Lasley) Heath, age 64, of St. Ignace, Michigan, died at the McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey, Michigan, on December 29, 2023. She was born on December 22, 1959, in Pontiac, Michigan, to Michael Lasley and Nell Rose Lasley.
Mary grew up in Pontiac and her family moved to St. Ignace before attending the LaSalle High School. She met George Heath, and they married om September 15, 1989. While George worked as an engineer with MDOT, she stayed home to raise her children. In the early 90's, she moved to Iron River, Michigan, where she worked in a nursing home as a housekeeper, before moving back to St. Ignace after twenty-five years.
Mary loved creating beautiful things, even winning a scholarship for the special art class in third grade. She enjoyed drawing, crafting, gardening, making flower arrangements and sunbathing. Most of of, Mary loved being with her children and grandchildren. She was a mom to everyone she met and was affectedly called, Mother Mary. She enjoyed showing her love through her homecooked meals and always made sure everyone ate.
Mary is survived by her sons, Jordan (Jenny) Lasley of Holland, Michigan, and Joseph Heath of St. Ignace; daughter, Emily (Edward) Andrews of St. Ignace; grandchildren, Brynlee Lasley, Xander Moore, Braydeon Andrews, and Cash Andrews; brother, Michael (Yong sin) Lasley of Panama City, Florida; sister, Sue (John) St. Louis of St. Ignace; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Nell Lasley, and brother, Terry (Mary Beth) Edwards.

Celebration of Life will be held in the Summer of 2024.
Final Resting Place will be at the Gros Cap Cemetery in St. Ignace, Michigan.
