Richard (Rick) Ronald Perron, age 61, of Orlando, Florida, lost his battle to cancer on February 9, 2024, at MyMichigan Medical Center in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.

He was born on May 28, 1962, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, to John Nelson and Jeanna Margaret (O’Neill) Perron. Rick grew up in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. He began working as a construction laborer and worked his way up to supervisor over the years for many companies from Sacramento, California, Phoenix, Arizona, Houston, Texas and Orlando, Florida. Rick enjoyed working on cars and ice skating. He was an avid hockey and NASCAR fan. He took his children to several Daytona 500 races along with attending the Coke Zero 400 multiple times.

Rick was a trivial master. He loved eating out at LongHorn Steakhouse. Rick is survived by his wife, Jackie Perron of 30 years of marriage of Orlando, Florida; sons, Rob (Amy) Shields of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan; Richard (Ricky) Perron of Orlando, Florida; daughter, Lindsay Perron of Orlando, Florida; grandchildren, Kylee and James Shields of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan; mother, Jeanna of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan; siblings, John (Tamar) Perron of North Hollywood, California; Jim Perron of Hancock, Michigan; Lynnette Beaudoin of Lansing, Michigan; Daryl (Cindy) Perron of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan; Roger, (Tracey Frost) of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan; Steffanie Pavlat (Brian Anderson) of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Richard is preceded in death by his father, John Perron; son, David Shields III; favorite family dog, Cooper D. Perron.

Rick's final resting place will be St. Stanislaus Cemetery of Goetzville, Michigan, with his Son David Shields III. A celebration of Rick's life will be announced at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Family Life Funeral Homes at 24549 S. M-129 Pickford, Michigan 49774,to help aid Rick's family with the financial transition of their loss.
